years.
California Historical Landmark No. 939: Nitt Witt Ridge is
located at 881 Hillcrest Drive. The 2 ½
acre parcel was purchased in 1928 by artist/recluse Arthur Beal, known as Der
Tinkerpaw or Captain Nitt Witt. Arthur
built his “castle on the hill” from natural materials from the pine forests and
beaches, as well as from discarded items from local Cambrians. Tours are available by reservation.

with a global influence. The Sow’s Ear provides
American and contemporary cuisines with an ambiance of country charm and
freshness. Cambria Pines Lodge and
